Empower Learners, Responsibly
Ethical and social responsibility in instructional design are essential because they lay the ethical and moral foundation upon which education is built. Upholding ethical standards ensures that learners receive accurate, unbiased, and trustworthy information, fostering a culture of honesty and integrity in education.
Simultaneously, social responsibility acknowledges the broader impact of instructional design, emphasizing inclusivity, diversity, and accessibility. As a designers I will be mindful of my role in creating an equitable and just learning environment that transcends boundaries and empowers all learners, thus contributing to the advancement of a more enlightened and compassionate society.
Check out my personal expectations for fostering these dynamics, and my moral code for my work.

7Taps Microlearning Course: Streamlining Procurement Processes
A busy administrative team needed training on a new streamlined procurement management process because the current process was time-consuming, complex and prone to errors, leading to frustration, delays, and increased workload for them.
A micro-course using the 7taps platform was developed to be an efficient and easy-to-update training tool. It is a resource that staff can complete quickly and routinely as needed, and can be updated as processes are improved. While small in size and time commitment, the content can be robust yet specific, target key tasks necessary to learn, and assess learner comprehension. Learning can be done individually or as a group, synchronously or asynchronously, for both new and experienced staff – all of which are key benefits.
7Taps is a mobile app designed to be "tapped" through as the learner progresses through a slide deck. This video simulates that experience in real time - feel free to pause where needed, and make sure your volume is up! When completing the module in the 7Taps url, the learner can spend as much time per slide as needed, and repeat it as many times as necessary. View the complete Project Briefing for this project under my Project Supplement page.

7Taps Microlearning Course: Blood Pressure Monitoring Training for Non-clinical Staff
This project was designed as an assigned case study for my graduate program, to develop training for non-skilled nursing staff to complete blood pressure monitoring for residents living in senior assisted-living facilities.

Canvas LMS: Sample Online Course Build
The Sample LMS Course Build is a project that showcases the development of a simulated online course in the Canvas LMS. The project involved creating personalized and unique branding, banners, and buttons, and was completed as part of a Graduate Program Capstone course.
Designed to be completed in an asynchronous format, this course build also included development of appropriate learning objectives, assignments and engaging discussions, and quizzes. Additionally, sample OER resources were sources to support the course elements.
